What do you like best about being a Mom?
Share your thoughts in honor of Mother's Day coming up.
i am a mother of two kids-saksham (going to be 13) and sanyam (8+). the best thing i like in me as mom is that my both kids love me sooooooooooooooo much. and i too.
I could not have children after 13 yrs of trying. That was a very difficult thing for me, since all I ever wanted was to be a mom. So when God allowed us to adopt a baby, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. If I had to whittle it down and pick the best thing about being a mom, I'd say it's hearing my 9 year old daughter call me "Mama". I never liked that mom name. I always thought I'd want to just be called Mommy or Mom, but definitely not Mama. My mom called her mom that, and I thought it sounded weird and old-fashioned. Until the day my sweet little one called me "Mama" and my heart melted. God had knitted us together so tightly, poured love into my heart for this child who was not flesh of my flesh, and taught her that I was His provision for her as nurturer. Even though she didn't grow inside me, hearing my voice every day and recognizing me from my womb, she knows me as "Mama". What amazing grace and goodness God has lavished on this undeserving woman! He has made this barren woman the "joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord!" (Psalm 113:9

Ann what a wonderful story. I get Mama alot as well. There is a certain preciousness to that word.
