We never do, but last year we went to church camp with our children. We plan on going again this year.
Our kids are older now but when they were young we took them camping on lake Huron every summer. Sometimes a few times over the summer. My dad lives close to the camp ground up there and the kids could ride their bikes into Harrisville. We would always have an ice cream sundae for dinner at least once when we were there and the girls would go to the library to check their email and talk to their freinds at home. Something for everyone cause dad did most of the cooking and all I had to do was pack & unpack.

It's a place of rest and relaxation. No TV, No cell phones, no electronics, a lot of nature. A place of quite time anf fun activities with nature.
In the last 10 years since we've been married, we've never had a vacation. Our family both lives 10 hours away, so the little money and time that we get away from work has always been to go see them.
But we hope to go away next summer, and skip visiting family in the summer so we can have a real vacation.
This summer we'll be going to my husband's parents 50th anniversary party in August.
