Keeping Christ in Christmas
How do you try to keep Christ in Christmas in your home? Do you have any specific traditions?
In the general course of conversation, we remind our boys that the reason we exchange gifts at Christmas is to remember that Jesus came to earth as God's gift to us and because he received gifts from the magi.
We always participate in some sort of outreach effort, such as a toy drive or "angel tree" project to give the boys a chance to give back. We also read the story of Jesus' birth aloud from the Bible on Christmas Eve and go to Christmas Eve service together at our church.

That's how we keep Christ in Christmas.
For Advent, we are doing a Jesse Tree with the kids as a countdown to celebrating Christ's birth on Christmas.
