What do you like best about the summer?
Are things more relaxed at your house in the summer? What do you like best about the summer?
Summer is the busiest months of the year for us, as we have about 2000 raspberry plants! They bear fruit right till frost. We pick and sell them as well as I sell a lot of homemade raspberry jam. I also find my candle and cosmetic business tend to be busy as well. What do I like best about summer? The signs of growth and beauty in God's creation that He has so richly blessed us with. It is awesome just to be able to enjoy it! Mary www.candlesandcosmetics.com
What do I like best about summer? Hmmmm...well I love to sit outside with a fire in the fire pit, the tiki torches lit, and making smores with my family. I also love staying up late with my son's (14 & 16yrs old) and talking until the a.m. hours, knowing I don't have to get up in the morning and drive them to school. Oh, that's another thing I love; I don't have to get up early in the morning if I don't want to! There are so many many things about summer I love...two more days of school, and for my family it's officially here! One of my favorite things about summer is also campfires. I like them so much that my husband built a fire pit in our back yard, so that I could have them anytime I wanted to have one. We roast hotdogs and marshmallows with the kids in the evenings. Then, after the kids are asleep, I like to sneek back outside with a cup of coffee, sit by the fire and pray or look at the stars. Things are definately more relaxed around our house in the summer. My hubby (the "grill master") grills a lot, and we have people over often. We work a lot out in the garden and try to go camping or swimming every chance we get.
I love summer, but it is busier around here for us. I watch kids in my home part-time, and with pre-schools getting out, I have more kids to watch. We are also struggling to get a garden going, and my husband is working 2 jobs! I'm enjoying every minute of it, though!
I enjoy the summers b/c my husband and I are both teachers. We travel a lot, especially to New England to visit his family. It's nice to get away from the humidity of Virginia.
Do you mind if I ask you how you first started drawing traffic to your blog? I've recently put one together but I really don't know how to get the word out. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!
Sounds like a lot of you have fun!! I would love to visit. I certainly enjoy the slower pace schedule and not having to rush out every morning.
Lisa, my blog traffic is probably from my website, www.christianworkingmom.com. I put out a twice a month newsletter and post the blog questions there sometimes. You can tell friends and family about your blog and consider doing an email newsletter as another way to attract traffic. Hope that helps.
Summer actually stresses me out a bit. Since my son is home from school all day, it's tougher for my husband to get any work done (he works from home) and he gets frustrated.
