My father was always a special source of strength. Although women and men are both strong, as in every relationship we each bring something special and unique. My father was never afraid of anything when it came to faith (or so it seemed!). Whereas my mom tended to be more hesitant. Acting more fearful of sin and consenquences. If you asked my dad a question about God it was always very reasonable and applicable.
I tend to take after my mom in these areas. I battle fear... of everything. Especially sin or making a wrong choice. My husband is very practical and strong in that area. Our son is only 3 right now, but I'm sure that as he gets older he'll begin to feel that he can really put his trust in what dad says is ok being ok.
Thanks Amanda. What a special father you have. I think our children can learn alot from both their mother and father about faith. All of us reflect various characteristics of God.
