What is your biggest struggle?

As a Christian Working Mom what do you think your biggest struggle is right now? It doesn't necessarily have to be as a CWM. Sometimes I think when we are seeing others struggle just as much as we are we can be encouraged. Also, if you could share what has helped you most during this current struggle. I am in a study right now entitled, "When Life is Hard" by James MacDonald. He said if you are not experiencing trials as a believer then maybe you are not His child. Trials are just part of a believer's life. To find out more read Hebrews 12:1-18. For me right now I know I'm God's child. How about you?

Absolutely! The Lord has been stretching me and testing me like never before. Sometimes I don't know what I'm going to do. That's exactly where He wants me. It's not what I can do it's what He can do through me.

Time and exhaustion. There just never seems to be enough of me to go around. As I strive to be a serving mom, wife, employee, and think of others first (Phil 2:3-4), I end up neglecting myself, and often my husband. By the end of the day, and end of the week, I'm at the end of my energy, and often snap at the kids and lose my temper much easier. I'm not proud of this. :( I feel like the enemy knows this weakness, and exploits it: when I am most tired and frustrated, I'm usually least likely to turn to Jesus for strength and patience. I'm working on it. My first goal begins this week - I'm going to carve in a 1/2 hour nap before picking kids up in the afternoon. I think they'll all appreciate having a rested mom more than an extra half hour with an exhausted mom. Then I'm also going to schedule private time with my husband, BEFORE I fall asleep in exhaustion at the end of the day!

Please pray for me, and all the other exhausted CWM's out there who are trying to balance their juggling act.

Hi Anonymous,

You sound like a very wise woman in scheduling a nap and private time with your husband. I totally agree that the devil loves to attack us when we are exhausted. We are especially vulnerable at that time. God's strength is perfect.

Busy Mom I couldn't agree more about God stretching us in ways we could never imagine. We definitely know it is God at that point.

I appreciate you both sharing.

I feel so out of touch with what is going on at my childs school. He is K4 and there is little to no communication of day-to-day activities. I would love more support from the school as far as helping those of us that work feel involved in our child's day.

Hi lbennett,

I bet that is frustrating. Also since 4 year olds can't remember everything that happen in their day. I hope your school would be open to your suggestions.
