School is starting
Depending on where you live school is starting in the next few weeks. My children start next week. I'm curious do you buy school supplies before school starts, after school starts, or throughout the year? Any special back to school traditions you have as a family?
Our school is now doing a school supply fundraiser. Which means I get to purchase the supplies on the web, and they are delivered to my kids' classrooms. It's a bit pricey, but convenient for a working mom.
Our school has done a similar fundraiser to the one mentioned above, and it was easy to do, but it was a lot more expensive than shopping the sales. Money has been tight lately, so since July, I have examined the sale flyers from my mom's newspaper each week, and then I buy the supplies that our sale. I saved a ton and had to buy very little at full price. However, I get so tired of spending so much time shopping; if we are ever in the position where I can take advantage of the fundraiser again, I'll do it.

What a great idea. Usually we get the school list and buy everything before school starts and then my children still come home needing extra stuff.
