I have never really paid attention to whether the flag is displayed in my church. I really don't think there is anything wrong with being patriotic and being a Christian. Of course my loyalty is with Jesus whom I love dearly, but honestly I also love my country as well.
I agree there is nothing wrong with being patriotic and Christian. Yet, our first priority has to be God. I would say in America most of our famous people in the past were Christian. I'm not sure if that would be true today.
