Hi! My name is Jennifer. I am married for ll years (tomorrow!!)
I have a son who is 10 and a daughter who is 7 1/2.
I used to post on here alot before it was a blog. I am currently searching for a full-time job outside the home. About a year ago I was in the same position (looking for a job) but I was receiving unemployment at that time. This time I am not receiving any unemployment. It has been stressful on our marriage and family life because we are living on one income. Right now we have $10 in the bank. Its hard for me to stay positive and keep looking for a job. I worked for a financial services firm for 5 years before I left and I was on unemployment for 8 months before finding a new job. I had my new job for 9 months and now I am unemployed again. I know that I need to be still and know He is God, but right now its really difficult to let go and let God. I would appreciate any prayers or encouragement. Thanks! Jennifer
Congratulations on the anniversary, that is very important.
I'm so sorry to hear about your unemployment. I know how discouraged you must be. Sounds like a wonderful time for a God moment to happen. I am praying for you. Not just any job, but the job that God has for you. I know how hard it is to look for a job and keep getting turned down, keep trying. Also, I do hope you are letting all your friends know as well so they can let you know if they hear of anything. You are in my prayers and that God will give you comfort as well.
I would like to start an email support group and get to know other Christian working moms. My email address is sitesfamily1997@yahoo.com if anyone would like to email me. Thanks! Jennifer
I'm not the one to give advice on exercise. I stop and then start. I do think exercise that can be done in 10 minute stints works better for me. Who has an hour to exercise? Sorry, I'm not much help.
Hello fellow CWMs. I need some advice about an issue that I'm having with fellow Christian Mom at my church. I have always felt like this Mom has judged me because I am a CWM and has not treated me the same as other Moms. Well, she wrote something very offensive to me about working and having kids in child care on email. I would rather avoid conflict but I do not want to be a push over. I know that working is in God's plan for my life right now and my silence could affirm her offensive comments, if that makes sense. Any advice on how to deal with this situation? Anyone else had an issue with a specific Mom at church? I appreciate your thoughts. I want to represent myself well to a sister in Christ. Thanks!
I'm so sorry to hear how your sister in Christ has hurt you. I have experienced subtle and not so subtle put downs as well. Here are just a few thoughts: Point her to my article on What does the Bible Say about Working Moms? It is on the home page of www.christianworkingmom.com. Then, she can be mad at me and not you. The article specifically says for people to show where the Bible says you cannot work outside the home. Then, I would encourage you to say you are both sisters in Christ trying to raise God worshippers in our children. I would ask you to go the second mile and ask how you can pray for her and her children. I agree that you need to address the issue, but it needs to be done in the right way. Does that make any sense? I hope that helps. Also, hopefully our other CWMs will have ideas as well. Update us on how it goes.

Summer vacation is almost over and I am feeling sad about it...
How's your summer vacation going? Did you get to go on a fun vacation with your family? Are you ready to start another school year?

Go Palin go! What a great working Mom to look up to. What do you all think?
I couldn't agree more about Sarah Palin. A CWM possibly as Vice President. I'm opening up another comment section to discuss this topic.
