What do you do when the children are away?
This week both of my children are gone. One is on a missions trip and the other is at a Christian boys camp. This is the first time that has happened in 13 years. So, what do you do when your children are away?

I clean on the big projects that are hard to do when the house is full like the fridge, scrubbing walls, painting etc. And then I do lots of creative things like quilt, knit, sew.
I exercise without guilt due to the time commitment.
My child is at camp this week too and it has been refreshing. I thought that I need to go to camp someday myself. vicki
Our kids usually visit the in-laws for a week or so each summer, so while they are gone, like Vicki in Mich, I tackle the time-consuming, large projects that never seem to get done. And my husband and I re-connect. We try to eat out a couple of times, and just relax together. If I'm lucky, he helps me out with some of the projects!

Vicki,
You are one industrious girl. Sounds like you got a lot done.
My son is now home and I feel so much better. My daughter will be home tomorrow.
