Bible Verse for 2013

I read a book years ago and the author shared that every year God would give her a verse to focus on for the year.  The verse wasn't always one she "liked", meaning it was designed to grow her, but that God would give her one.  So, do you have a verse you are focusing on for 2013?  I will share mine with you,
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.  Please share your verse.

Why Did Christ come over 2,000 years ago?

In God's sovereign plan he ordained for Jesus Christ to be born over 2,000 years ago.  What do you think are some reasons that Jesus came at that particular time?
